UK adopt Open Documents for Government use.
It’s six or seven years cooking but the UK Government have finally committed to Open Document Format ODF being the preferred and expected format for document sharing. Whether it is the advent of Google Docs, the prevalence of Android and Apple devices with their local formats or whatever, Microsoft doc and docx formats are no longer seen as de-facto standards and ODF in finally coming to the fore.
