About Blackrock Education Centre

Blackrock Education Centre has garnered a substantial reputation for itself in publishing over the last 35 years. The excellence of its training and education materials, both at home and abroad, has earned the Centre an unprecedented international status.

BEC is one of 21 Centres throughout the country with the remit to provide continuous professional development and support for teachers, and has long supplemented its public service role with the publication of a broad range of training and educational materials.

The provision of clear-cut training manuals has been at the core of its publishing strategy. Over the time, its 20,000 hours of experience in training teachers to deliver ECDL has been honed to provide what is now a comprehensive suite of ECDL approved publications, written by informed tutors in constant dialogue with their students. They are specifically designed to be used not only as part of a training course but also as a self study guide for all who are undertaking ECDL courses.
