OpenApp is extending the principles of software sharing, developer collaboration, the elimination of vendor lock-in and adherence to open standards into the world of geographic information management. The company created the open source GS Portal platform so that organisations can turn raw geographic data from multiple sources into meaningful maps and dynamic visual reports. OpenApp provides implementation, integration and support services to GS Portal installations in health service planning, road safety and other vertical markets. It also builds on technologies from selected open source vendors, including Red Hat, Zope and EnterpriseDB, to deliver applications that meet customer-specific requirements.
