Wordpress Content Management

Through our associate and Graphics Designer Turlough McAnespy we can offer Content Management through Wordpress. A Recent study of 20 Open Source Content Management Systems has shown Wordpress to be twice as popular as all the other systems put together with regards to usage in the top million websites.

The benefits of using Wordpress as a CMS

A Graphical user interface - WYSIWYG Visual and HTML Editors that allows the editor to create content, add images, multimedia files, and much more

URL Control – allows you to create SEO-friendly and descriptive URL’s for your sites pages

Custom Content Types - allows you represent any type of content you want. Blog Posts, Attachments, DVDs, Artists etc

Custom Taxonomies — a powerful taxonomy (category) system that allows you to organize and tag content

Advanced Menu editing system

Revision Control — WP saves a new version of your pages every time you are editing, meaning that you can go back to view or revert to old revisions if you want

User Management — WP has strong user role and access control functionality. You can create as many custom user roles with custom access levels as you need

Wordpress stands ahead of other CMS for a number of reasons

WordPress is free - for personal and commercial use

User-friendly - WP is easy for non-technical users - allowing them to edit their website quickly and easily - because of WordPress’s extremely intuitive admin screen

Large and Friendly Community – WP is unrivaled when it comes to community size for a CMS. This means that the project will be in a healthy state lomg after alternative systems have become extinct

Excellent Documentation – due to its popularity there are a massive number of tutorials, blogs, videos, books and podcasts documenting the system

WP has made updating the CMS for security fixes and major feature extensions very simple and easy to do. This saves time and keeps your site reliable and secure

Agile development - This means there are notable upgrades every 4-6 months

WordPress is fast

Services offered

Custom theme development – this provides a unique design which complements the other areas of your brand

Plug Ins and Custom Code Enhancements – to ensure a solution that’s tailored to the clients needs
