OpenApp participated in the Government Open Source Conference in Portland Oregan in Oct 2008 - presented on OpenForum Europe at the International Open ICT Summit chaired by Samia Melhem, Chair eDevelopment Thematic Group, World Bank - presented Health Atlas Ireland at the Health Technology stream - participated in a panel discussion on Open Source Software in Government.

Key points;
- Collaboration, enabled and encouraged by the availability of OSS, seems to be the key interest in the US and with the World Bank
- Health Atlas Ireland is way ahead of anything people seemed to have seen to date in this type of software - but difficult to articulate our offer.
- Microsoft contributed in a number of sessions and were clearly taking a conciliatory approach to OSS.
- OpenForum Europe concept is beyond the thinking of the attendees - some of the organisers expressed strong interest.
