AeroMedical 5.5.0 released and already in the news

The award winning AeroMedical software received an upgrade on August 20th, 2014 and has already been used in critical timesaving missions. As part of our continued development of the AeroMedical system, the latest version has been successfully deployed to Air Ambulance Control. This version allows Ambulance Controllers to locate patients via their smart phone devices, greatly reducing the search time involved and saving vital minutes.

This system will be of most benefit in rural areas where it can sometimes be difficult to locate patients accurately. Most callers will usually make reference to local landmarks which may or may not be known outside their geographic area. In these situations, ambulance controllers might need to follow complex road directions which slow the response of emergency resources.

With the LocateMe112 service, a Controller simply enters the caller's name and mobile phone number on the AeroMedical system. This validates the number and sends an SMS text message to the caller's smart phone containing a unique web link and instructions. Once the caller opens the link, their phone report the caller's location on the controllers screen. The entire process takes less than 3 minutes to complete and gives an average accuracy radius of 100 metres depending on phone type and reception.
