Web Applications with Python and Plone

OpenApp choose Python and Plone as our primary development environment and have been using them to  develop applications since 2002. Applications fall into, but are not limited to, three broad categories;
  1. Custom document management systems related to forms and document data collection, classification, dissemination and retrieval.
  2. Content management systems delivering web sites, multimedia and intranets.
  3. Electronic Stores and commercial web sites delivering custom catologues, multi-currency, payment and standard web features.

Open Data Atlas

Web Applications in Django and WordPress

OpenOffice Training Materials

OpenApp have been users of Open Source Desktop tools since at least 2002 and, over that time have used a great many Desktop tools and programs. These would include Gnome, KDE, Konqueror, Nautilus, GIMP, Inkscape, Firefox, Thunderbird and many more.

Training for ECDL: A Practical Course in StarOffice 8

In 2006 OpenApp developed this training manual in collaboration with Blackrock Education Centre, Training for ECDL Syllabus 4: “A Practical course in Star Office ECDLStarOffice mapped to Open Office, on Windows XP” is a collaborative publication between OpenApp and Blackrock Education Centre. Fully approved by the ECDL Foundation, ECDL for StarOffice 8 offers an excellent training opportunity on an alternative office suite.

TrainingRoom - A Practical Course in StarOffice/OpenOffice

A demonstration of TrainingRoom can be found at http://trainingdemo.openapp.ie/ The OpenOffice training materials are available as an e-Learning programme "The Training Room". It follows the theme of "Tell Me, Show Me, Test Me". It is an innovative method of learning which allows users of all levels to relate to the materials and creates a positive learning experience.
