Health Service Executive Map Centre
OpenApp has helped the Health Service Executive (HSE) to develop the HSE Map Centre, a communications service that builds on Health Atlas Ireland to allow members of the public and HSE staff to find health-related facilities in Ireland.
The HSE Map Centre allows a user to select their location of interest by clicking on a map or by typing in an address. Once the user's location has been determined the user can choose one of several facility types, including:

Hospitals;

GPs;

Pharmacies;

Health centres;

Garda stations;

Nursing homes;
-
Dentists;
-
Flu vaccine clinics.
All local facilities of the type selected by the user will then be listed and their location show on the map. The user can choose to display a route from their location to a facility or between facilities.
Address and coordinate information is accessed by OpenApp through Geodirectory's GeoAddress Locator, while routing information and background mapping is currently provided by Google Maps.
