OpenApp developed a number of ECommerce Web Applications in Django and Satchmo as part of a joint venture with Dell Corporation - Dell@School and Dell@College.
Wordpress Content Management
Through our associate and Graphics Designer Turlough McAnespy we can offer Content Management through Wordpress. A Recent study of 20 Open Source Content Management Systems has shown Wordpress to be twice as popular as all the other systems put together with regards to usage in the top million websites.
Django development at RTE
OpenApp jointly developed a number of 'User Generated Content Websites' in Django (a Python web application framework) with RTE staff. The sites are released to support specific TV programs online to enable viewers to upload their own videos (in a moderated manner) to support the program
Web Application development and support for NewAddress.ie
OpenApp took on third party support and maintenance of NewAddress.ie, a web application developed in Python and Zope and we subsequently provided development services. The web application allowed people planning a move of their business or residence from the general public to register their old and new address which was then communicated to a range of subscribing organisations such as banks, utilities and government organisations.
Conference Management web applications in Django
We have developed a number of conference websites including the International Society for Environmental Epidemiologists and The Complexity and Management Centre. Both of these sites were developed in Django.

Installed, configured and customised MediaWiki at Airtricity for internal communications.
ECommerce Web Application
OpenApp are developing an eCommerce website and set of applications to support Blackrock Education Centre in delivery of their services. BEC deliver courses for continuing professional development for teachers, support projects to further the use of technology in schools and develop and publish high quality training materials through BEC Publishing.
Plone and Python Training
OpenApp delivered customised training for the Irish Defence Forces in Plone. We also delivered advanced Python training for Sun Microsystems.
