Health Atlas Ireland is an award winning web application portal supporting Health Service Planning and Monitoring. It is an open-source mapping, database and statistical system. The system integrates geographic information, health event datasets and statistical components.
My Home From Home - Nursing Homes
MyHomeFromHome.ie is the website of the National Advocacy Programme Alliance (NAPA), a multi-agency advocacy group for nursing home care. This public site publishes up to date information about nursing home care in Ireland, as well as providing information on individual nursing homes.
ECommerce Web Application
OpenApp are developing an eCommerce website and set of applications to support Blackrock Education Centre in delivery of their services. BEC deliver courses for continuing professional development for teachers, support projects to further the use of technology in schools and develop and publish high quality training materials through BEC Publishing.
Research into Child Health in Europe
An EU, FP7 funded project (in development) to build a community and manage the inventory of child health research in Europe. The site features multi-lingual content (12 languages, two character sets), document analysis and classification features, metadata harvesting from document repositories such as PubMed (a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 19 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals) and SocINDEX - sociology database, CINAHL - nursing database.
Plone and Python Training

OpenApp developed a Plone based customer management and billing system for CHPower. The second revision, developed to support the ESB's Marketing Opening Program, was delivered in partnership with the client in 6 months and has enabled them to build a broad customer base in both business and consumer markets.
